Today I’m with:

SV Scorin. So I’m a artist, I’m from Ajax. What’s up? I’m excited to be here.

When did you start making music?
When I was like 17 years old, it kind of started off as a joke. I was like, I was just telling all my boys in class I was gonna go make a track. Like no one really believed me, I went to my boy’s crib, recorded it in his closet, put like a blanket over my head. Next day – and I dropped the song the same day Yeah, dropped the song the same day and then put on SoundCloud, posted on IG. Came back to school, went back to class and all these guys were just playing it off the phone.
And I was like, oh shit, it was lit. I was getting good responses, getting good love So that’s what it is.

Is it something you’ve always wanted to do?
Nah, it was actually very unexpected like I was just saying, I just started off as a joke. I’ve always loved listening to music But no one really believed me when I was telling them I was gonna go make a song I was like, “fuck it, let me go make a song” so I made a song and I just kind of fell in love with it. I just kept doing it .

What were your musical inspirations growing up?
I actually started listening to music very late in my life. I would say like 13 – 14. So I got to say Drake for sure. Tory Lanez And even Don Tolliver.

Do you have any pre-show rituals you like going through?
I’ve actually never performed before which is crazy. I’ve never been on stage. I’m just waiting for that big moment.

What gets you into zone in terms of when you write?
I really just got to tune everything out. I just really just um trying to stay to myself, tune everything out. And trying to think less about it. Not really getting things to kind of jinx it.

Do you have any hot takes for music right now?
I say this all the time, I feel like we’re living in the best age of music like right now. For sure, the 80s, 90s, 70s – all those guys, they paved the way for sure, but I’m telling you we’re living in the best age of music that’s being made right now.

Just to see how music evolved from back then until now, we can really like so much genres, are getting blended. So much new genres are being made. I’m just grateful to be living in the best time of music.

If you just want to know, do you have anything coming up? Anything you need to wait up for?
So by the time this comes out, I have my EP coming out so that’s coming out on September 1st. So, it’s probably going to be out when this is out. So, other than that, I’m just going to keep dropping until the year ends and hopefully a bigger album by next year, next summer so we’ll get some more hits .
